WELCOME TO THE CALL FOR ABSTRACTS FOR THE 2025 ISPE LATAM PHARMACOEPI CONGRESS

The 2025 II ISPE LATAM Pharmacoepidemiology Congress will take place in a hybrid format (In-Person + Virtual) from October 9 to 11, 2025, at the University of Sorocaba (Uniso), in Sorocaba, São Paulo, Brazil.
Registering to attend the in-person meeting at Uniso gives you the best of both worlds. In addition to the immersive onsite experience—with access to all sessions, networking opportunities, and coffee breaks—your registration includes the full Virtual package.
The In-Person + Virtual package includes:
- Access to all onsite live symposia.
- All congress materials and scheduled refreshment breaks.
- Access to the virtual platform, featuring:
- Live-streamed plenary sessions and the Closing Ceremony with Awards Presentation (you don’t need to be onsite to receive an award).
- Archived recordings of all live-streamed sessions, available for up to one year after the event.
- Unrestricted access to the Posters Gallery, with all poster presentations taking place online.
Please note: Live pre-conference skills courses are available exclusively onsite and are not included in the virtual access.
- Abstracts are invited for both poster and oral presentations.
- Abstracts, posters, and slides for oral presentations must be submitted in English. Simultaneous translation will be available for all Congress activities.
- Please read the INSTRUCTIONS before starting your submission. While the system is intuitive and includes guidance notes, the instructions provide more detail.
- To submit abstract, registration for the II ISPE LATAM Pharmacoepidemiology Congress of at least 01 (one) author is mandatory.
- Each registration for the Congress will entitle the submission of a maximum of 02 (TWO) abstracts. There will be no limit to the number of papers as co-authors. It is important to note that, after submission, no insertions or changes of names of authors, co-authors or institutions will be permitted, nor will changes to the text be permitted.
- All submissions are reviewed by par of members from Scientific Committee.
- The decision of the Scientific Committee ISPE LATAM Pharmacoepidemiology Congress regarding approval, classification and awarding will be irrevocable; that is, there will be no room for appeal.
- Abstracts must be written within the formatting described in the rules. Otherwise, they will be not accepted.
- Abstracts containing only work proposals, projects, protocols, narrative, integrative reviews, or submitted outside the mentioned specifications will not be accepted.
- Submitted abstracts must be unpublished; that is, they must not have been presented or published in a journal/newspaper or in the proceedings of a scientific conference/event in a journal/newspaper.
- Rejection does not imply refunding the amount paid by the author(s) to register for the Congress.
- All approved abstracts will be published in the Pharmacoepidemiology Research in Latin America special issue from Pharmacoepidemiology and Drug Safety Wiley.
- The authors grant the copyright for publication in the Proceedings of the event.
- Submissions must be made exclusively through the website of II ISPE LATAM Pharmacoepidemiology Congress.
- SCHOLARSHIPS AVAILABLE: A number of scholarships to assist the attendance to the ISPE LATAM PHARMACOEPIDEMIOLOGY CONGRESS 2025 will be provided by the International Society for Pharmacoepidemiology (ISPE). Participants selected for scholarships are required to attend the Congress in person. The level and nature of awards for scholarships will be determined on an individual basis. The estimated time for the decision is the end of August 2025. Recipients will be contacted with details once awarded.
